Contrasting elements

One of my first purchases from etsy was a painting by Christin Ciaccio Briggs. It was a skull painting of absolute gorgeous detail in muted earth tones, lace balanced with rigid geometric forms that I gave to my best gal pal. I was over at her house the other day and when I saw it again I remembered just how talented Christin is, and thought you might enjoy a little less baby banter and a little more painterly inspiration. (Although I was seriously dreaming of having one of her pieces in the nursery, which will be, incidentally, half my studio. Don't think less of me, ok?)

And a couple links for you--I highly recommend the blog, except that if you're budgeting it might be a little too much temptation. In which case, enter at your own risk.
